Food Porn and Morton's

The joy of really good food.

Last night, my wife and I went to Morton's Steak house in Denver for our early Valentine's Dinner.

The meal was pretty good. I was concerned because we went there on a Sunday night and there were a lot of empty tables. I don't know if it was because of the economy or because of it being Sunday night. Our meal featured Shrimp Alexander, Onion Soup, A Beefsteak Tomato Salad, Fillet Mignon, Broccoli with Hollandaise Sauce and Lobster Tail. The service was okay, albeit a little slow at times. The Shrimp Alexander, Onion Soup and the Fillet was all very good. Ordering beefsteak tomatoes out of season is not great, We're sorry that we ordered that and wondered why it was on the menu.

The wine was very good a Bear's Creek Pinot Noir.

I think we would go back again, if for just the appetizers and Onion Soup.
